Advantages of potato planter: যন্ত্রের সুবিধা:

• It can reduce time of planting, cost and plant more area within short period of time
• Potato can be planted in 5-6 bigha of land per day by one driver and one helper.
• It reduces labour dependency.
• Cost of potato planting in one hectare of land is Tk. 4804 / ha whereas Tk. 14,740 / ha for manual planting which reduces 67 % of planting cost
• Four persons are required for planting of potatoes in one hectare of land whereas 60 persons for manual planting.

• অল্প সময়,অল্প খরচে, তাড়াতাড়ি অধিক পরিমাণ জমিতে আলু রোপণ করা যায়।
• একজন ড্রাইভার ও একজন হেলপার মিলে এক দিনে ৫-৬ বিঘা জমিতে আলু লাগাতে পারে।
• শ্রমিক নির্ভরশীলতা কমিয়ে দেয়।
• মেশিনে এক হেক্টর জমিতে আলু লাগাতে ৬৭% খরচ সাশ্রয় হয়।
• মেশিনে এক হেক্টরে ৪ জন অথচ হাতে লাগাতে শ্রমিক লাগে ৬০ জন ।

Precautions : করণীয় (সাবধানতা):

• Tension of potato metering belt is in proper condition.
• There is a proper adjustment of furrow opener and bed former cum furrow closer.
• Same size of potato seeds should be selected where 30-35 mm of seed size is the best.
• Half of the seed box is filled up with seeds and when metering belt is moving slowly potato seeds are to be held in the metering cup.
• The wheels of power tiller are shifted according to furrow dimension so that measurement of wheels is proper to furrow.

• আলু মিটারিং বেল্ট এর টেনশন ঠিক আছে কিনা পরখ করতে হবে।
• ফারো ওপেনার এবং বেড র্ফমার-কাম-ফারো ক্লোজার এর এ্যাডজাষ্টমেন্ট ঠিক করতে হবে ।
• একই মাপের বীজ আলু নির্বাচন করুন। ৩০-৩৫ মিমি. মাপের আলু বীজ উত্তম ।
• বীজ বক্স অর্ধেক বীজ দিয়ে পূর্ণ করতে হবে এবং মিটারিং বেল্ট আস্তে আস্তে ঘুড়ায়ে মিটারিং কাপে আলু বীজ ধরিয়ে দিতে হবে ।
• পাওয়ার টিলারের চাকা ভিতরের দিকে প্রয়োজন মাফিক সরিয়ে নিতে হবে যাতে করে ফারোর মাপের সাথে চাকার মাপ ঠিক থাকে।
• চালানোর গতিবেগ ২.৪-৩.০ কিমি./ঘন্টার মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ রাখতে হবে ।
• পিকিং চেম্বারে সবসময় যেন বীজ মজুত থাকে সেদিকে লক্ষ্য রাখতে হবে ।

Maintenance: রক্ষনাবেক্ষণ:

• Seed box should be kept empty after the end of working period. Roller, belt, cutting blade and other parts to be washed by water.
• Apply Mobil or grease in rotating parts time to time.
• At the end of working season, planter to be released from power tiller and keep it dry place and away from direct rain and sunshine. It is also necessary to warp the hole of the gear box by clean polythene sheet.

• কাজ শেষে বক্স খালি করতে হবে এবং যন্ত্রটির রোলার, ফাল, ইত্যাদি পানি দিয়ে পরিস্কার করতে হবে।
• ঘুর্নায়মান অংশগুলিতে সময় সময় মবিল গ্রীজ দিতে হবে।
• মৌসুম শেষে আলু রোপণ অংশটা টিলার থেকে আলাদা করে গিয়ার বক্স এর ফাঁকা অংশ পরিস্কার পলিথিন দিয়ে জড়িয়ে রোদ, বৃষ্টি মুক্ত শুকনা জায়গায় রাখতে হবে।
